Tips for starting an ebay business selling infant, kids clothing? Advice Appreciated.? I want to start an ebay business , selling infant - toddler clothing. I wanted to know whats the best way to purchase inventory. I dont want to deal with dhgate, alibaba, or any other chinese marketplace. ( Scams). I would like advice from ebay sellers that have been selling for over 2 yrs successfully. I was thinking about purchasing from local people posting clothing for sale in the craigslist. Or should I shop at cosignment stores / resale shops? I am confused. I dont know where to start. I have been doing research online for a while, and I know the basics toward selling on eBay. The only advice I need is where to purchase clothing at reasonable prices, to turn a profit. Thanks in Advance.

ebay good or bad for starting your own business selling.? i am unemployed at the moment and cant find work , i have went to about 10 interviews altogether and ever one unsuccesful, simply because i am not good at interviews, but i do sell on ebay and make a bit of money, well food money or clothes money nothing major, would i be able to open up a business selling on ebay and do well from it with out working anywhere else, if any one has done well from ebay selling things and not worked any where else then i would like to know how you did it, thanks guys. thanks everone for your answers, they are all helpful

I'm a beginner.. wanting to start a small business on ebay selling homemade fragranced lotions and soaps!!! I am a very creative gal and really want to do something that I will enjoy while I am in college. I love working with my hands and am very hands on so I really think I would love making lotions. I have heard of bath junkie and actually was going to buy something from there but thought to myself..."why not just make it myself"... I have thought about possibly selling it on ebay or something.. I don't know how much I will make but any money would be great while I am going to college. So can someone tell me what I would need to do first? I have never made lotions.. I guess I won't be making the lotion but will be mixing things in it.. like fragranced oils or maybe making fragranced soaps.. using cookie cutter shapes. How do I start a successful part time ebay business after selling home items? want to wrk 20 hr wk $3-4k per m I've started selling items from home, and I'm trying to figure out what my next step should be. I need ebay selling information for my business? I have been selling on ebay for about 5 years now, The main place i get my items are at auctions, I would love to start selling one thing instead of going to auctions all the time, Like cologne, or candles....etc...How do i go about finding a source to provide me with the items.....These 10 hour auctions are just about killing me, I would love for my items to come to me and than i will sell them....Has anyone got any information on this.....There are some sellers on ebay that just sell shirts from Mexico, cute tops.....How do they get them? What kinds of benefits come with having a legal business entity while selling on ebay? I am trying to find out what kinds of tax benefits there are if I choose to get legal and have a business entity while selling on ebay. I am not expecting to get rich ...only to supplement my currnent income. I would like to earn an extra 500 per month at least. I work for a tight wad who gave me and the rest of his employees a pay raise after 5 years. It was a lousy 25 cent raise. I'm not on here to rant and rave about the low raise from my employer. I like my job, so leaving is not an option. I think my only other option is to take matters in my own hands and do something about it. I have sold on ebay before as a hobby and want to get more serious about it. I would appreciate some insight from some intelligent folks out there. Please be nice to me and be helpful if you respond. Small business eBay. LLC or S-Corp, which one is better? I am currently doing business on eBay selling small electronic items. I buy in bulk and sell retail. I am thinking of registering for a company and get a sales tax ID. Which one do you think is better, LLC or S-Corp? Currently I do all things by myself and profit is about $3K/mo. I know that from tax perspective S-Corp is more beneficial, but LLC is less paperwork thus less complicated. Based on this alone, I am leaning towards LLC since it will be less stress and I will have more time to grow the business. Please let me know what you think. Thank you for your help!

Selling stuff on eBay I live in Houston HOW DO I DECLARE MYSELF A BUSINESS AND START PAYING TAXES? I need to know exactly what forms I must fill out and exactly what fees need to be paid, so I can do things legitimately via ebay. I am already established and am just now starting to make profits. Everytime I try to do research via the internet or the local Small Business Association, they all start off with the the same thing - "Make a business plan", "Apply for a loan". "I DON'T NEED A BUSINESS PLAN AND I DON'T NEED FINANCING FOR THE BUSINESS!!" With very low maintenance, I am just selling an inventory of items on the side, and don't want to get busted down the road for not paying taxes. I know every state is different, but like I said, I just need to be spoon fed, where I go what I fill out, and what fees I must pay. I have already decided I would probably want to be a LLC.

Going to start selling on Ebay - which PayPal acct to get? Premier or Business? I know it gives a description of what comes with each account but I dont want to get one that isnt suitable for me as I have never sold on Ebay before.
