How do I start a successful part time ebay business after selling home items? want to wrk 20 hr wk $3-4k per m I've started selling items from home, and I'm trying to figure out what my next step should be. I do not have a niche market yet. I've only sold a few items so far, but it's pretty interesting. I can commit to 20 hrs per week doing this thing. Starting an ebay business? I'm 19 and I don't currently have a job. I was wondering if I could make a living on ebay. I was just wondering how hard is it to make a successful ebay business, and also do you need to do things to make it official or just sell as normal. I currently plan to sell my dvd collection which should bring in at £100 and was thinking of just buying cheap dvds and cds with that money and hopefully selling them on for a profit. Has anyone started an Ebay business and how successful have you been? I am a mom of 4 chidren and have recently posted some items for sale on Ebay. I've heard that a lot of people have had success doing this. I'm concerned though that no one is bidding on my items because I don't have a rating score yet. How will anyone trust that I will ship them the merchandise they purchased or that I'm legitimate. I know I would be skeptical to purchase anything from someone w/ no rating score. Can someone who does not own a business really make money on Ebay? I have been doing the Ebay thing for a couple weeks. The first thing I put up was a childs zebra print coat (used) and it did very well, and textbooks did great too since school is starting for many people. Now I am not doing so hot! Has anybody started a successful small business selling their photos as postcards and calenders? I'm looking for particulars, like did you sell through a stock photo agency, or get the cards/calenders printed yourself and sell through local stores and craft fairs? I'm a beginner.. wanting to start a small business on ebay selling homemade fragranced lotions and soaps!!! If I wanted to hand off my user ID (and reputation) over to someone else to continue the successful business, how would I do it? Architecture..Business...or Law? My question is which would i be most successful in?... My life goal is to be wealthy, live downtown with my family. Have my wife stay at home ( or not need to work), and my kids go to a private academy for schooling. I myself grew up with poor teachers and a horrible environment to learn in. Now a junior i go to a better school, yet my GPA struggles at a 3.2 on a 4 scale. I personally think it makes complete sense, the buyer is only obligated to pay for an item, nothing more. sellers need to explain the item truthfully, send it within reasonable time, and package it well... all a seller has to do is not send an item if the buyer doesn't pay for it. I think the feedback for buyers should be automated, like have a machine write if and how long it took for the buyer to pay for the item... I'm glad that ebay has weeded out the rotten businesses that leave retaliation feedback and have no respect for buyers, those guys need to take a look at successful businesses motto's "the costumer is always right" consumers ARE what make ebay/economy NOT sellers. I am a regular seller on ebay and always make sure my costumers are happy even if they are rude, I could care less how they act as long as they pay on time and leave truthful feedback (and I always leave truthful FeedBack regardless if they do). and I have never had any problems as a seller, many as a buyer though (D.O.A's, people not accepting money cause they didn't get the amount they wanted, poor packaging, late shipping, missing parts...ect.) and since the update I have seen many improvements in business attitudes and support/communication. no buying problems since then (so far) Just from what I've seen on Y!A... well I guess you won't hear much from the people who agree with it since they won't be complaining. I disagree, I believe that the buyer SHOULD get 100% of the benefit, if you pack weird then you should get negative feedback. I know i wouldn't want anything less then perfect from a seller, especially with the power sellers. It's not like you go buy something at walmart and expect the package to be opened or have scratches all over your product. it's easy to learn from the negative feedback and make sure it doesn't happen. and I've found that most buyers are very understanding. and if you get a few negatives from the picky people its no big deal. not everyone is going to love you, people look at negative comments anyways to see who was really at fault or if the buyer was just being a pain in the ss
How can I make a professional small online store for under 100 a month? I have a very successful business on eBay and wanted to make a actual website i looked online at some of the places and couldnt find one I liked. I only sell about 12 different products and only want to accept paypal, debit and credit. I also would need some info on getting hits to my site once its made. Thanks
