Do any stay at home moms feel addicted to their computer? I know this sounds wierd and it probably is. I have no life other than my daughter. My husband works all day and everyone else I know does too. Sometimes, i feel like the only thing I have to put me back into reality is the net. I feel addicted, thus, the reason I am on Yahoo answers (no offense) but I feel that maybe this might not be a good thing. I dont neglect my daughter, I take her for walks and play outside with her. But I always feel the need to see if someones emailed me or if there is something interesting to look at. Does anybody feel the same way? Or am I just wierd...sure I probably am.

Any fresh ideas for entertaining an 11-month old boy? I am a stay at home/work at home Mom!? I am lucky enough to run my husband's successful business as office manager from home while watching my very bright and precocious almost-walking 11 month old son. So far, everything's been rosy and he seems ahead of the pack developmentally. However, I worry about him getting bored now when I'm working on the computer or on a business call. He is self-soothing and plays well by himself with no whining. He socializes well with other children on play dates and at the local playground. I just need some neat ideas about new things I can expose him to inside the house--things I can play at with him and things he can work on by himself. He's not ready to draw yet, however--I tried crayons and he still wants to eat them! I am also an older and educated Mom and he's my first child. We have tons of toys for him--I'm really looking for some more creative solutions for those periods I need to be at my desk. Hope you can help! Someone objected, so--the father of my son is not my husband--yet. He is my fiance and we have been together for more than 5 years. We're getting married next year. I'll admit, sometimes I say "husband" because it's easier and it's what the world expects--we have 2 other children (my stepsons) who call me Mom and I handle all of their school stuff. My fiance and I feel and operate as though we are married--we are just both previously divorced and haven't felt pressured to marry quickly--though having a child together and me having a different last name has become increasingly difficult. I apologize if my slip offended anyone. It was not intended to.
What can I do to make money at home using my computer ? I am a stay at home mom and am curious of how to make some extra money at home.Nothing ILLEGAL!!!!!! I use to be a phlebotomist but didnt like it.I dont want to get a job outside the home I love being with my child any suggestions ?
I hate to bring up the old nagging question of dads helping stay at home moms, but what is an ok expectation? I'm a RN by trade and my husband is a computer/technology consultant who works from home. I have been a SAHM since our dd was born 21/2 year ago. I love staying at home and raising our child, but like everything else there are a few rubs. First, my husband wants me stay home (he didn't have that growing up and feels it's very important). However, we don't live very comfortably on 1 income (he borrows $$ from his parents to support his business). Now here comes the selfish part. I love my husband, but I feel like if I have to go back to work b/c he insists on "making his 'career' work" instead of getting a "real job" (y'know...9-5, that sort of thing) that I might as well separate b/c then I will be doing it all myself anyway. Chores, kid, bills, yardwork...I do it all! He doesn't bathe her, put her to bed, take her on weekends to give me a break. I never have any time off. I feel like I'm losing my identity, and not the nursing one...the human one! Am I wrong to want more? Thank you FB128...you helped me to put some of my feelings into better words that I can bring up to him, and some of things you said are good points (particularly the part about fatherhood not having set hours). I think that's something that he can understand and it's reasonable--not just the same old nagging I feel like I always do to enact change. You were right about not having spare $$ for daycare and maids, too. Luckily my sister sits for free for us so we can go out on dates, but with this looming over our relationship it's hard to even want to spend time together. I'd love just time for myself alone, but that makes me feel selfish and greedy. On the other hand, ignoring my needs makes me want to walk out of my house and just keep going...and that's sad. Someone suggested I get on an antidepressant, but I doubt that me taking a pill will make him more helpful ;)
Want to work from home? Im a stay at home of 3.? I am a stay at home mom of 3 and loving it. Sounds cliche doesn't it. Anyway, I work on ebay mostly but I came across this site that could generate some money for you. Pays you once a month. Its nothing fancy but is some extra money. There are alot of websites out there that offer this but then overflows your email inbox. This one sends several but not like you are thinking. My suggestion (this is what I did) I created a seperated email account with yahoo. The one you are seeing now. I use that only for this website and offers. You complete simple little surveys or register for these internet sales sites and then this company actually pays you. Check it out, if you dont like it, delete that email account. Nothing to lose. But if you are anything like me. I spend entirely too much time doing nothing on the computer. Why not get a little for nothing. Anyway, here is the link. cash crate com /315451. Use the #'s at the end, so that I know I am not waisting my time telling people about i
What are stay-at-home-moms doing? I am so bored with staying home with 3 children! What are you others moms doing to keep your sanity, besides cleaning, cooking, disciplining, eating, watching tv, and using the computer? I'm feeling stuck in a little box, help!!!! my kids are 7, 3, and 19 months I'm in D.C. and never drive offbase, because it's nuts here. I wouldn't know how to get to the zoo if I tried and I'm sure once I did there would be no where to park. We do go to the playgrounds often. Thankfully there are several on base, but when there are 2 small kids involved you have to constantly watch and play and that can become stressful too, because they both want to be pushed on the swing. The little one is trying to do everything the older on is doing, which includes climbing high places, which makes me have to be very attentive so there are no injuries, because thats the last thing I need. I know if I were in a city where the driving wasn't so horrible I feel free to venture off, but NOT here!!!
I am seeking a legitimate work at home position. I am looking for real positions not schemes? Thanks!? I am a stay at home Mom who needs to find a legitimate work at home position. I have seen all the scams, if anyone knows where I can find a real paid position or sites I would be grateful for any help. I know it is difficult with the get rich schemes, but hopefully there is a legitimate site that offers administrative and office, sales or marketing positions. I have computer experience and a degree in office administration, thanks for your help we need to add to our income, and this would be perfect as I have a fully equiped home office. Thank you again for any help or information acquired.
Is there any work at home things that ACTUALLY work??? I am a stay at home mom, only because my daughter had a liver transplant and cannot go to daycare, and I am getting so.... bored. Not to metion money has gotten extremely tight with only one person working. Does anyone out there know if there is a work at home business that I won't have to shell out a TON of money to start, but that ACTUALLY works??? I have tried several but nothing seems to happen. We really need the money and I have a computer and everything. We just don't have the money to shell out for a huge business venture right now. I want to contribute to this family again. I am going crazy.... Please Help!!!
Besides online auctions like eBay, anyone know of any other LEGIT work-at-home jobs i could do for extra $$? Besides online auctions like eBay, anyone know of any other LEGIT work-at-home jobs i could do for extra $$? I am a stay at home mom, pregnant and i have MS so that is why i stopped working outside the home. It became too much. I tried the eBay route for a while, but it seemed like it required too much, to get to little, as i didnt have enough capital to buy wholesale, etc. I couldn't keep up with it enough to make a significant profit. I can do many other things, great on the computer, superior typing skills, tons of customer service experience, plus i'm a huge computer nerd in quite a few ways! There is tons of stuff that i could do, but the problem is finding where i'm needed.. i'm only looking for job ideas where i won't have to invest much (if any) money initially, as i hardly have a pot to squat on these days. I want to help my family. Please let me know youre ideas!

I'm great with computers, office, data entry, etc. but everything seems to be a scam. I want to work for a real company doing real work. I want the flexibility of being home to be available when my kids need me. I am located near Columbus, Ohio if anyone has any information that can help me. Tons of real people have real work at home jobs for real companies but I don't know how they get them. Please help.
Stay at home moms...what do you do while the kids are at school? I have worked my whole life up until about 2 years ago. Because of a health condition, I had stayed at home with our son and homeschooled him but now he is fixing to be going to public school. I'm not going back to work yet and I was just wondering if there is anything besides cleaning that ya'll do? Without homeschooling, I can't think of anything else to do besides play around on the computer. I need some ideas so I don't go crazy here!!
Stay at home moms? Does anyone know of any legitimate work from home agencies. I was thinking of medical transcription but i am willing to look into other ideas as well. I have a computer and internet access. I know if it is for real then they will not require any money upfront. Thanks to all who answer!
Stay at home moms who work from home- How do you do it with children home? I need some ideas please? I've been a stay at home mom since my 2nd daughter was born (she is now 16 months.) This past month I got a job- only it's mostly things I can do from at home. There's not really a set schedule and money is really tight- so I don't really feel I can take her to my sisters for daycare and pay her one or two days a week. My 8 year old is home starting this week on summer vacation from school. How can I make sure they are both entertained and safe while I try to get SOME work done? (ie so I can sit at the computer for more than 10 minutes and get some things done?) How do you organize your days if you work from home and have kids home? My 8 year old can pretty much entertain herself (between playing outside etc..) but my 16 month old is too young to go outside alone with her and I dont want to just plop her in front of the tv! Ideas? Also- I've noticed since I need time to work my 16 month old is SUPER CLINGY ALL of the time. Unless I'm holding her she cries etc... I don't know what to do! Is it just a circle- where she is picking up on my stress/guilt for working and the fact she has to entertain herself? Doesn't this always happen with kids though? hehe whenever you have something that needs to get done- they suddenly need your undivided attention? I *could* do the work (well some of it) after they are in bed for the night. However I take care of my grandparents and by the time the girls are in bed i am exhausted and usually within an hour or two go to bed myself. That hour or two is spent spending time with dh and getting things ready for the next morning!
What is average day like for you stay at home moms with children not in school yet? I have kids 6, 2, and 11 months. Although there is tons of work to do in the home, I feel like the majority of the time is spent doing for them (dressing them, changing diapers, feeding and entertaining). I get frustrated trying to find activities that will include all 3, because usually it doesn't work. I don't want to become uncaring and just turn them over to the tv, video games, and computer, but it seems like they are happier doing that stuff. When I'm trying to do fun things and play with them , they seem so unappreciative... how can I enjoy them more and not feel so obligated to be this "supermom"? I'm blessed to have them and to be able to stay home, but some days I just want to scream (today being one of those days). I'd rather be cleaning the toilet than listening to the complaints and nonsense.....
What can I do sitting at home at a computer that can make me money? Since mom has passed I've been home, I take dad to work everyday and pick him up. I take care of the household. But I need a little bit more. I'm not ready to go back to work yet. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know alot of people out there are makeing money out there hand over fist on their computer. I could use some input.

Connecting Internet to the laptop and home computer? Hi everyone! I have DSL on my home computer and I got my mom a laptop for Christmas. I also purchased a Netgear 5 port Fast Ethernet Switch. So that I could Plug the Ethernet cord from my router into the Swith and then also plug in the other 2 Ethernet cords to each computer. But I Can't seem to get a connection with my mom's laptop. When she uses her laptop at work she just plugs in the ethernet cord and gets right on the internet .. but that doesnt work at home. :( Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.
Where can I find work-at-home approved or approvable by the Better Business Bureau? I'm a single mom with 2 kids at home. I can't afford a car, nor can I 'invest' in anything. I can do anything with or on a computer (been building and using them since the '70s), have full at-home office capability and have other 'handyman' type skills as well. I've had 3 jobs sent to other countries in the last 5 years and can no longer survive on a part-time income. There are almost no full-time jobs I would be able to commute to in my area. I am highly literate and self-educated, but cannot afford school. With a wonderful thing called call-forwarding I could be a rent-free secretary or receptionist for some reputable company. I can also transcribe hand-written notes into a database or wherever needed. I'm sure there are more possibilities I haven't thought of. Can anyone help in any way? MUST be legitimate. I am located in South Central Indiana.

Any help would be wonderful. Thank you!

Are you a stay-at-home mom? What do you do on your home computer? I'm an intern at a software company. My boss gave me an assignment that is one of the most challenging assignments I've ever had. The assignment is figuring out "what moms use their computer for". I'm a girl and will build a family at some point of my life. But.. at this moment.. I don't have much knowledge about this subject.. My mom doesn't use a computer much.. actually doesn't use it at all.. I can think of only a few things.. paying bills, shopping online, sending email.. Moms!! Can you tell me what you do on your computer at home?? both online and offline??
