Stay at home and Moms who work outside the homes, can we settle our differences and find common ground? It seems like we have a lot of moms who feel the need to defend their choice to either work or to stay at home. Many of us do this for different reasons. Why can't we accept that neither situation is 100% the right thing in all circumstances instead of criticizing those who either are stay at home moms or work outside the home moms. Can't there be a way to support and encourage each other instead of having to criticize or get defensive over our choices?
Is there any online jobs that are free for work at home moms? i want to find a job for my mom because shes looking for another one besides the one she has and i was wondering if anyone knows of one that is scam free and that you dont have to pay for. Hopefully one that pays every week or something because shes spending time with us right now but if she gets another job she wont be able to and i really need any help or sites that can help me so she can work at home and still be with us thanks!
For stay at home moms, what do your husbands do when they come home from work? I'm just wondering for those moms who stay at home with their kids, when your husbands/boyfriends come home from work, do they help out with the kids at all?? I know my husband works extremely hard to provide for his family, but should he not have to do anything at all when he comes home from work? Sometimes I'll ask him to give our daughter a bath and he says its my job to do that b/c he has worked all day. I don't make him do anything around the house except clean the shower b/c he is a mechanic and the shower can get really dirty due to his work so that is the only thing I ask of him. I'm just wondering if it is fair that just b/c he works outside the home, he shouldn't help out with the kids as far as bathing them, brushing teeth, putting them too bed, etc.
I'm looking for tips from work at home moms. What kind of routine do you use to balance chores, kids, & work? I have a three year old at home with me during the day, and I feel like I'm always shooing him away to get my work done, but it's counter-productive because it makes him even clingier. The hubby and school age kids look at me like I've been eating bon bons all day since the house isn't any cleaner than when they left in the morning. Daycare isn't an option until I'm actually making money with this new endeavor, and kind of defeats the purpose of working at home anyway. I know there is a way to get it all balanced, I just need some guidance and practical advice from someone who's got it going on. Thanks! Thanks everyone for some helpful tips. I'm kind of doing a conglomeration of all of it, so evidently I'm on the right track. I'm also going to negotiate a day with Grandma so that I have a kid-free day to really concentrate on work. Nanny - I would love to spend the entire day playing with and teaching my children. I would also like to feed them and keep a roof over their heads. To try and lay a guilt trip on me or any of the countless other moms who are struggling to balance work and family, happiness and survival, is judgemental and insulting. We all have to do the best we can with what we've got. Your ID of Nanny suggests that you are paid to watch someone else's kids. Don't let your negative impressions of your employer make you think you're better than the rest of us moms. Most of us are working our jobs AND cleaning our houses AND caring for our children AND caring for our aging parents, etc. I'm sorry, but we just don't have any spare time to join you on your pedestal.
Legitimate work for stay at home moms? Hi there, I am a stay at home mom who is searching for a legitimate way to make some money. I know there are countless websites set up for stay at home moms that are just a big fraud. I wondered if any other stay at home moms have any suggestions. I was a secretary and csr before my son was born so I have experience in typing, organizing, phones, sales and other things. I would simply like to add to our monthly income while doing something I love.
Stay at home moms- how did you make it work financially? My husband and I are looking at possibly starting a family next year. We're not wealthy, by any means. I'd really like to be a stay at home mom. My husband is supportive of this, if we can find a way to make it work. (I plan on going back to work part to full time once our future child enters kindergarden). I'm currently about 1/4 through my college degree, and will continue to take night classes once we have a child (The way we're planning, I'll be about 1/2 way through college when they are born). For clarification, I am almost in my mid twenties, not fresh out of high school. :) My husband works days, so he can be home with our future child in the evenings when I am at class. To the stay at home moms who did it on a budget- how did you do it? Any good tips/ideas? What worked for you? How hard was it? (I don't want to spend each month worrying if we're going to be able to pay the water bill). Thanks so much for your answers!!
Stay at home moms who went back to work? How long were you at home with your kids before you went back to work? I'm with my child now and I wonder how easy it will be to get hired someday. I worked for seven years as a teacher, successfully, and live in an area with a good job market.
Anyone know what the work at home program called Moms on a Mission is about? As we all know, most work at home programs are bogus. My husband knows a lady that owns her own business through an organization called Moms on a Mission and said it was great. I visited the website and there's absolutely NO details on what the actual work entails. You have to have an associate call you at your home to get any details. Does anyone, anyone at all have any info about this?

Stay at home moms, is your hubby at work a lot? My hubby works in law enforcement and works long hours often. We have a toddler. I don't have any family around here, due to job situations. I try to stay busy with going to the park, running errands, playdates with friends, "me" time when hubby is off, etc. Who else is in the same boat as me and how do you cope? Thanks!

work at home moms online schooling? I'm looking into taking a course online and I was just wondering if there were any stay at home moms out there doing the same thing? I don't know anyone that has ever taken classes online. Thanks
Moms that work at home...I need your help? I currently have a job that has me working evenings but my income, along with my husband's, is still not making ends meet. I need to find something that I can do from home during the days. Our goal as a family is for me to eventually become a stay at home mom all day. We can't financially do that right now but that's our goal. I was wondering is any of you experienced stay at home moms out there are also work at home moms? If so do you have any suggestions for things I can do from home. I've seen a few scams already so any advice would be helpful. Thank you, Thank you.
Question for the Work at Home Moms? A question specifically for moms who either work for an employer, just from their home office, or those who run their own business: How to you stay organized and focused with work while attending to your children? I am expecting our second child late summer and have my toddler daughter in daycare. Two kids in daycare full time is not going to work for us. Frankly I'd like to stay home with her but financially can't- that's another story. So...my employer really values me, that is not a concern for me, and I believe that he would allow me to have a schedule flexible enough to work maybe 2 days in the office and work the rest from home. This would be so ideal! But, I don't feel comfortable proposing this, unless I know that it's realistic to handle between 12-24 hours a week at home while taking care of the kids myself. Does anyone else do this, and how have you been able to make it work for you? Thanks for all of the answers. I work in the marketing department and I do have to make and accept calls but I much prefer to do things via email and my vendors and other contacts know that. I would not be dealing with anyone who would be offended by hearing children in the background but I'd still want to avoid it. Most of what I do is reseach on the internet and also a lot of copywriting, analysis etc. Thanks for all of the answers. Work at home moms with kids... How do you get anything done??? Lol.... How do any of you accomplish ANYthing?? I have a 6-year-old and a 16-year-old... both are great kids but I work from home and I'm having an impossible time making money because I'm always tending the needs of my "babies" and even when I'm not working, I feel like it's IMPOSSIBLE to get the house and myself together.... Any tips??? How do you motivate yourself to do the daily tasks (laundry, etc.) when you are exhausted??? Thanks a bunch!! I'm already a "flybaby" on www.flylady and it's helped immensely... However, Yahoo Answers is taking up far tooooo much time, lol.. as a matter of fact, getting off here right now, hehehe 11:00 p.m.... and will get a few things done.. thanks for all the great ideas.. will check back with you all tomorrow (while I'm supposed to be working, lol...)...
ARE there scam-free work-at-home jobs for moms? Has anyone tried any work-at-home jobs that actually work? I would like to earn a little extra income, without having to leave my baby with a stranger, but I don't want to get caught up in a scam. Any suggestions?
Stay at home moms whos husbands work long hours? How do you keep from getting lonely? My husband sleeps till nine in the morning, goes to work at ten, and comes home at about 9:30 at night. We have a good relationship, I just hardly see him. I am a stay at home mom, because we are actually saving money by me not working. Daycare is expensive, and we have five kids between us.We rarely get to go on dates because there is no one willing to watch five kids at once, so we have to find several babysitters, and make sure they are all available every time we go out.Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a mom, my kids and I have a blast together, but sometimes I just get so lonely without anyone to talk to but my kids all day. I have sort of resorted to corresponding with people on here ( I don't like chat rooms) , to get some kind of adult interaction. But I've found that usually people on here don't want to interact beyond the questions and answers. I know this probably sounds like "Poor me" , but it's not. (running out of room....) I would just like to know how other stay at home moms keep from getting so lonely? We only have one vehicle, and my husband has to take it to work, so getting out within these hours is out of the question. I'm usually fine, there are just some days when I feel like " Man, I wish I had someone here!" To plugged in mom- Six children,Gosh! All ten and under, too. I've got two stepchildren, but they live with us all the time, and three of my own. They are ranging from ages 7 to 1 yr. Alot of times that is what keeps me going, is knowing there are other moms out there who do the same, or more! To Pedro- I used to get on chat rooms a couple of years ago, and it seemed like there was always a bunch of people who would just go in there specifically to ruin it for everybody. It just seemed like a bunch of immature people who like to argue. I'm sure they are not all like that, but it kind of ruined the experience for me. Come to think of it, that's how it is alot of times on Answers, too, isn't it? If I could find a chat room with people who are serious about having a conversation, and who don't ruin it by turning it into a chance to bash someone, or wanting sex, that would be great!
Any stay at home moms miss work? I have a five month old daughter who i love to pieces, but I miss working. I cant go back because my child refuses a bottle, so I figure it will be another 6 months before I can work again part time. i just miss being an adult sometimes and thinking about more besides baby and housework and cooking...anyone else?
What are the best and highest paying jobs for moms who want to work from home? I had a baby almost 10 months ago, and I went back to work after a 1 month maternity leave. Thus far, aside from having to put her in daycare, everything seems to be ok. However. I always have a great desire to stay at home and take care of her. When I'm at work I think about her and how I want to quite my job. What is there for a mom to do where she can stay at home to care for her child, while still making enough money to support her family. I have a college degree too, so I don't want to put that on the back burner. What do you Stay-at-Home Moms do? This is a great source of stress for me. Please help!
Why are so many stay at home moms always bashing parents for using daycare? I personally take my son to work with me so he is with me all day and I love it. It seems that too often on here the stay at home moms/dads seem to post negative comments about daycares or babysitters. Most often stating that if people don't want to parent full time don't have children. Why is this? We live in a society where most often the both parents have to work or the children are raised by a single parent. Does this mean that these parents aren't good parents or should not have the right to have a child?
Stay at home moms who also work from home....? I am giving birth at the end of November and i'd love to be a stay at home mom but I also know I still need to contribute to the family financially. Any success stories from other moms on how to do this?
Stay-at-home moms and work? Any stay-at-home moms who work from home for a legitimate company doing data entry/clerical type work? Please give me some suggestions or even referrals of companies that you work for, and an idea of what they pay like, and any pros and cons. THanks.
Stay at home moms- do you do any work from home? How do you earn money from home? Any ideas for someone who is looking for a way to stay home with their baby? I'm currently writing a book (about pregnancy and parenting, actually) but I doubt it will go anywhere. What else is there-- I'm all about making things (eventually want to learn how to make nice hairbows)-- and am willing to do boring work if its worth it. Ex's mom used to stuff envelopes-- do people still do that?
Work at home any moms know of any? Does any moms or anyone know any work from home jobs that are REAL and you dont have to pay? I'm a full time student (online for now) and a full time mom! So thats why Im looking for something to do at home.
