How to financially start my own business...? I have a great idea for my own business. It would be an internet based business but I would also locally operate a small store, but it would mostly be used to keep my inventory. Are these two litmus test questions fair to see whether a startup is serious? I was referred by a friend to a startup company, their goal is to do media work, tv, radio, internet...etc. I asked two questions, 1. Do you have any role model businesses to look up to? 2. Do you have examples of failed startups to learn their mistakes from? Are these fair questions to see whether they are serious? When to send press release? [How many days ahead]? I have a small Internet business and have done a few press releases in the past, but nothing serious. In the past I have sent them out last minute with the generic header of "For Immediate Release" I'm getting ready to release a new product and want to do it the right way this time. How can I be protected in the Internet ? I need protection in the Internet, because there is someone who is insisting on bothering me and provoking me problems. I was just speaking with one of my contacts there who apparently has "fell in love" with someone on here, funnily enough they've never met the person they've "fell in love" with and from what they've told me already they seem to "fall in love" with every person that takes an interest in them! Why do people take the internet so seriously? This has always confused me.
