I am trying to find out if there are any work at home jobs that are not scams. Anyone heard of AWSM? I got scammed by AWSM Technology. They have taken a lot of money from me and I have nothing in return. I want to know how to get my money back from work at home scams and if anyone knows of a legitimate work at home business. Be aware of work-at-home scams? I've noticed that a lot of the people in this section say they want to supplement their disability income with money from a home based business. I've been interested in that stuff before but be careful of that. That's like one of the top 10 scams of our modern world! Yes there's legit ones in certain fields such as medical transcription and a legit one doesn't promise you like thousands or millions of dollars just by working part-time. And also I guess my question is, do you think scammers see SSI or SSDI recipients as easy targets?

Work at Home Scams? Basically, has anyone heard of Global Home Business Systems? I want to know if this is a legit company. What has happened so far is I found their website, I (stupidly) gave them my information including my telephone number, and after I went to the next page, I decided not to go through with it because you had to pay 9.95 for shipping and handling of the dvd. Well, the next day, I get a call from this "nice" woman named Danya. I ended up agreeing to the shipping and handling charges and I received the dvd today and I'm supposed to get back with her tomorrow to let her know if it is right with me. So far... it seems pretty legit. The dvd emphasized that this is not for those who want the get rich quick scheme, and that it will require hard work. If anybody has any kind of information on this, it will be greatly appreciated!!

Are there any legitmate work at home and not scams? I have been looking for legitmate work at home programs and all that I am receiving are scams. Have you heard of anyone from gmail.com. On craigslist.com you will find alot of at home programs from different people on gamil.com. I tried one position, as a data entry specialist, where you have to pay $15 to receive the training materials. You only can make the payments through paypal. When I received the email from the ad, that is when you make the payment. When I made the payment, I received the training materials the next day. However, the training materials was a way to cheat people out of their money. You suppose to post ads, all over different websites, for exposure, when someone respond to your ad, you will then send them an email stating that you received their request. Then you go on explaining the compensation and also stating that it is an legitimate position, and how much you will have to pay for secure purpose. Once payment have been received, that will be your compensation.

How come the media has NOT done a better job informing the public of work-at-home scams? For that matter all forms of cons,schemes, rip-offs or scams not just in the desperate job seekers, all predatory seekers lurking on the innocent. Phony Mortgage lending/loan skarking etc etc. I know this watch where you sign your name on paper, for there are lots of BAD contract deals out there!

I don't understand how these women can keep promoting a company that is a complete scam (AMERIPLAN) It is my newest waste of money and I had such high hopes for this company. In my research, I've found a lot of sites that claim to have reviewed various opportunities and list them as a scam or earn affiliate commission by recommending them. I'm not interested in those types of site. I'm just wondering - if I gave my social to some work from home company - what could they do just having that and my name? There's already a caution out on my social - so they probably can't do anything anyway right? I gave my address name and social and I'm just wondering - what do I do if I made a mistake. I found out that there is a listing with an F rating in Corona for this company - meaning that they are conducting fraudlent business practices or expecting people to work and then terminating them after 4 hrs and not paying. If that's all if is - then I'm not too concerned but if they can steal my identify - I need to know what to do about that scenario.

I'm suspicious of this because they seem like spam to me, and if it was that easy to work at home and get paid $900-$1,400 a month, why aren't more people doing it?! Are there any "work at home job" that are not scams? Due to a disability I am not able to work full-time. I cannot stand or sit for long periods of time either. For the past couple of months I have tying to connect with companies that say they have "telecommuting" jobs available. Unfortunately, most of these are scams. I am really discouraged, I am also a senior citizen. So I tried some of the sites on AARP. These seem to be mostly for second career or social connections.
