Work at home?

I am a stay at home mom and really enjoy it. But we need a little extra income. Does anyone know of any legit work at home jobs? I know there are a lot that are scams and will screw you over with a quickness. I want something that is real and can do at home. Nothing like surveys or something like that, something real.

1. If you want to work at home and still be in control, it's probably best to go self-employed and offer your services freelance rather than get involved with companies who use home-workers. ('Use' being the operative word in most cases!) Think about what you are good at, and what you can do that people would pay for. Take some time over this. Most people initially reply by saying, 'oh, I can't do anything special,' then if they discuss their life experience for a while, there's usually quite a list.

3. My best advise is think of something that you love and then go from there. If you dont have a passion for what you are doing then it's not gonna work.

5. Hi! I am also a stay at home mom. My daughter is 22months old right now & keeps me pretty busy. I found a way to make some extra income at home. It won't make you rich, but it will pay some bills (and maybe give you some shopping money lol). Now it will take probably a month or 2 to start making anything, but the site is 100% free. 6. You are probably receiving a lot of information about possible work from home jobs. I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job. I would never pay a company to work from home.

However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue will always have start up costs and monthly expenses, if it doesn't then it is probably not a legit business.

I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. On my journey to finding the right work from home opportunity I tried everything from selling vitamins, lotions and many other product based companies. I also looked into processing information online. What I realized with all these companies is that I usually put more money back into my business and ended up with lots of product I really did not need. I also was very skeptical of some of those online work from home websites that really never got to the point of what I would be doing to earn income.

Finally, I was given information on a legitimate work from home company. At first I was very skeptical and paid no attention to the information. Then one day my mother needed to have some dental work done but had no insurance. I remembered that I had some information on discount dental plans. Once I researched the information I had been given, I realized that I could provide my mother with a way to pay less for her procedure and earn an income for signing her onto the discount dental plan. Thats good for your family and pets (if you have any) and smell great, not to meantion romantic also. Promote how to go green and how its helping your family as well. You never know you can make that extra income and maybe more.

14. I am a mom who wishes she could stay home! I have had my own small business for 13 years. I love what I do and used to work a million hours and never mind it. Then I had kids . . .

So now it is torture to be tied to that business and I finally figured out that my small business owns me! Unfortunately, we can't afford for me to just give it up. So, like you, I started looking for a second job or business I could work from home.

I selected a network marketing company after months of research. There are quite a few good ones out there, just make sure you really take your time to investigate the product they offer, the corporate structure, the compensation plan and that intangible - the "heart" or integrity of the company.

There really is no better choice for working from home in my opinion.

16. It can be frustrating when you first start looking for online work. The scams far out weigh the legitimate opportunities out there. One thing to remember is to never pay to get a job.

A good place to start looking for online work is http://workathomedesk.com which is a free site with an excellent directory of legitimate companies that hire home workers. Depending on your skills or experience, you should be able to find several good leads there. Hope this helps. Good luck!
