An online writing job?

Is this possible? I've looked around at a few freelance opportunities. I just want to write for someone or do research, type busy work - whatever. I'm an extremely skilled writer and I'd like to do it for work.
Anywhere you know I can go to find something to do? I'd like it to be profit - because I do intend to get paid for doing it. I also don't care what the pay is, as long as it seems fair.

Any ideas?

1. Get a copy of Writer's Market from the public library.

2. You have a few options available to you. You can offer your services as a writer to people. I'd start out by posting free classified ads on sites like Craigslist and talking to business that could use your services.

Another option you have is freelancing, which it sounds like you've been looking at already. A couple of sites that offer freelancing jobs are getafreelancer.com, odesk.com, and elance.com

You could apply to be a guide at About.com To learn more about this and/or to apply, go to http://beaguide.about.com/

The other thing that you could do is take part in paid to write sites. These incude associatedcontent.com, suite101.com, helium.com, and more. However, they generally don't pay you much at all. Your best bet on making ok money this way would be to check out the Market Place section of Helium.

6. There are several of these jobs out there all over the place. I would suggest starting with http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site. They always have some sort of writing job posted and they also have a directory of legitimate companies that hire for all sorts of things. Good luck!
