I am a US Citizen living in Ireland on a multi-visit visa, telecommuting w/ US company. Do I pay state taxes?
I am not paying taxes to Ireland and understand that I will pay US federal taxes, but do I pay local state taxes to a state I am not currently residing?

1. If you've maintained domicile in any state you continue to pay state income taxes there. Did you maintain your voter registration, or vote in any local elections using the FPCA? IF so, you've maintained your domicile there.
Just curious -- how are you avoiding Irish taxes? If you live in Ireland, they can and will tax your income there!
2. If U R paying federal, I would assume U'll be paying the state income tax as well. What R u being paid in,Euros or Dollars.
3. You should contact a tax professional in the US to determine if you can exclude at least a portion of your income since you are outside the US. That can be a complex issue that would take more space than allowed here to discuss. If in fact you are required to pay US taxes and have a domicile in a given state of the US you very likely would be required to file a state return. However, again these are complex issues best not left to the type discussion that is available on this type of site.
